My Story

After the birth of our first daughter I became convinced that there was a better way to birth than what we had experienced. I was a member of La Leche League in 1997 and found an ad for Birth Works in the LLL magazine “New Beginnings”. I saw that the Birth Works beliefs were right in line with my own and I made the call to sign up for training. By the time my first son was born I was an independent Certified Childbirth Educator.

After that it was a natural path to become a certified yoga teacher so I could teach prenatal yoga. At that time there were no classes available to me here in Indianapolis so in October 1999 I completed the 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher training and began teaching for a local hospital and health clubs.

I was fortunate to be in the right places when the demand for yoga increased and I began sharing my Vinyasa practice with men and women.

Now I teach many of those folks right here at home.

Even though we aren’t having more children, I still enjoy leading childbirth classes to give couples their best shot at a great birth.

I look forward to hearing from you whether you are looking for yoga or birth classes. Your questions are welcome!
